Mogelijke commissie van een edelman uit het huis van de Sande, te oordelen naar het wapen van deze adellijke familie op de gevel, en met goed gemarkeerde kenmerken van de rococo van het bewind van D. Maria I (1777-1816). De kapel maakt deel uit van het voormalige herenhuis van de kapiteins-in-chief van het dorp Veiros en heeft een aangrenzend huis, nu bezet door de Asilo de Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro Foundation, die een recente radicale verbouwing onderging.

De façade is notoir een samensmelting van rococo's en neoklassieke stijlen, een interpretatie die past bij de esthetiek van het tijdperk van de genoemde koningin.
In het interieur is ook heel duidelijk de rococo, met name in het altaarstuk op de bodem van de pastorie, in het tweede deel van het schip. Boven het altaar bevinden zich twee engelen in dezelfde stijl, gewikkeld in ramagens, bloemenslingers en met een bundel schelpen, die de datum van 1795 aangeeft.
