El parque de Letná está en una colina cerca del río Moldava. Situado en la continuación del jardín Chotek y el Jardín Real, este parque tiene caminos muy frecuentados por sus visitantes.
Su historia es relativamente compleja. Por su ubicación estratégica, la llanura de Letná sirvió durante mucho tiempo de campo de entrenamiento militar. En el siglo XVI, durante el reinado del emperador Rodolfo II, un túnel fue abierto con la intención de abastecer con agua la reserva de caza real de Stromovka. Más tarde, fueron plantados viñedos y las canteras de los alrededores fueron exploradas.

Diversos caminos han sido restaurados especialmente para los skaters (los patines pueden ser alquilados en el parque), y hay muchos espacios para que los niños jueguen.
