Created in 1971 and implanted in 1999, the Jacques Cousteau Municipal Park occupies an area of approximately 335 thousand square meters. Located in the western region, the space functioned as a garbage dump in the city and, later, as a vegetable garden for the production of tree seedlings and ornamental plants to be used in the landscaping of Belo Horizonte. Many of these seedlings grew and flourished in the park, being the first to integrate the vegetation of the local forest.
Opening Hours: 3rd to Sun. from 8am to 6pm.
Additional Information:
As leisure options, the park offers toys, an Open Gym and an ecological trail, in addition to spaces for contemplation and living areas.
