Calda de Aregos is a spa located next to the Douro River and part of the municipality of Resende (Douro Sul).
It consists of two parishes, Miomães and Anreade, the division of which is done by Ribeiro da Cesta.
There is a small settlement in the form of an amphitheater over the river. It is about 90 km from the city of Porto and 38 km from the city of Lamego. It has a unique natural landscape beauty. It is said that D. Afonso Henriques, first King of Portugal, was treated here in his sulphurous waters.
