built in the century. XVIII by the vicar of Luziense, Manoel Pires de Miranda. In 1842, it served as headquarters for the brave “Luzias”, rebel forces of the empire, during the Liberal Revolution. It was later occupied by the victorious loyalist troops of Barão de Caxias. In the middle of the century. XIX was acquired by the Baroness of Santa Luzia functioning as “Casa de São João de Deus”. At the end of the century. XIX came to belong to the Teixeira da Costa family. It currently belongs to the municipality, housing the “Casa de Cultura” and the “Aurélio Dolabella Museum”, with an imaginary collection, musical scores, furniture and household items.
