It was inaugurated on June 15, 1992 with the objective of forming in the people an awareness of environmental defense as a survival factor. Built in eucalyptus, the 874 m² building has a 22 m spiral-shaped ramp that allows a panoramic view of the surroundings. It is located in the midst of the 37,000 m² of native woodland of the Bosque Zaninelli, where since 1947 one of the largest quarries in Curitiba existed.
