The Church of Nossa Senhora D'Ajuda is a colonial-style monument built between 1697 and 1718 by the slaves. They used as main material the stone, shells and whale oil. It was inaugurated in the year 1806 and reformed in the mid-twentieth century by Alfredo Oliani, mixing the Baroque with its original style. Inside, there is a beautiful panel dedicated to Nossa Senhora D'Ajuda and Bom Sucesso.

The interior is wide, 40 meters long by 10 meters wide. The floor is made of marble from Spain, Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina. It has oil painted lining that reproduces the image of Nossa Senhora D'Ajuda. The ornament with exact replica of the old Church of the See, in São Paulo, access is by stairs with thirty-five steps, with the images of São Sebastião, São Benedito and São Paulo on its sides.
