Antico Casale, meaning Old Cottage, has been completely restored with the utmost respect for its original features: brickwork or stonework flooring, ceilings with exposed beams, original frescoes and fireplaces.

The scenery around the hotel is enchanting: olive-groves all around the lake, stone olive-presses for the production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil DOP, magnificent vineyards that produce the most renowned wines, small towns and castles perched on the hills. The three isles in the lake (Maggiore, Minore and Polvese), each with its special charm, are the ideal destination for unforgettable excursions, as they are rich in natural parks and bird reserves.
The area is also a paradise for gourmands. The area’s specialities include Trasimeno French beans, lake fish cooked on a reed, fresh home-made pasta, Norcia truffles, capocollo (smoked ham), and the wines from Trasimeno and the Arezzo hills. Moreover, Lake Trasimeno borders on the Chiana valley, well known for its Chianina cattle farms. The hotel’s wellness centre consists of: indoor heated swimming-pool, 6-person Jacuzzi, counter-current swimming, sauna, Turkish bath and a relaxation room with chromotherapy and aromatherapy facilities. The centre also includes a gym, where you can enjoy relaxing massages, shiatsu, sun showers and aesthetical treatments delivered by the qualified staff.
The large and splendid hall, with its 17th century terracotta floor and wooden-beam ceiling, is ideal for meeting, conferences and parties. The hall has a capacity for 80 guests and is equipped with a wide-screen TV with PC connections, internet connections and microphone. The hall’s terrace boasts lovely views of Lake Trasimeno, and is immersed in parkland with old olives trees.
