Berlin
Berlin is the capital and one of the sixteen states of Germany. With a population of 3.5 million within city limits, it is the largest city in the country, as well as being the second most populous city and the seventh most populous urban area in the European Union. Located in northeastern Germany, it is the center of the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan area, which includes 5 million people from more than 190 nations. Located on the great European plain, Berlin is influenced by a seasonal temperate climate. About a third of the area of the city is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers and lakes.
Tourism
Since German reunification in 1990, Berlin has become an increasingly popular tourist spot. History coexists with art, culture, technology, bohemia and politics. Besides being German capital, it is the most important city-state of the country.

The historic center of the city is along Unter den Linden avenue with baroque and neoclassical buildings and on Museum Island, site of an impressive collection of museums from the 19th and 20th centuries. To the south of Unter den Linden is Checkpoint Charlie, an inheritance of the city divided during the Cold War. The extensive green space of the Tiergarten and the Kurfürstendamm, the center of West Berlin, lie to the west. In the surroundings are the magnificent palaces of Potsdam, now almost a suburb of Berlin.

The nightlife in Berlin has a life of its own, with cafés gleaming along the sidewalks, illuminated sights, fully functioning sex shops, nightclubs and parties. Headquarters of one of the most important film festivals in the world, Berlin has its own dialect, which is not a problem for German speakers, let alone for those who do not speak.

The eastern side is worth as a bonus: walking down its streets reveals another city, perhaps more thought-provoking, enthralling and dangerous. Wherever you are in Berlin, for all possible reasons, stay tuned to this multifaceted city.
Gastronomy
The culinary variety of Berlin ranges from restaurants with international cuisine to fast foods and gourmet temples, through fast food kiosks with organic products.

Typical traditional dishes include currywurst sausage, meat dumplings in strong root sauce, lemon and capers (Königsberger Klopse), boiled pork knee (Eisbein), and large meatballs served with white bread and mustard (Boulette).
Weather
Berlin has a temperate / mesothermic climate. The mean annual temperature is 9.4 ° C (48.9 ° F) and the mean annual rainfall is 578 mm.
The hottest months are June, July and August, with average temperatures of 16.7 to 17.9 ° C (62.1 to 64.2 ° F). While the coldest are December, January and February, with average temperatures of -0.4 to 1.2 ° C (31.3 to 34.2 ° F) 20

Berlin has no drought or rainy periods, and the amount of precipitation is almost the same in all seasons, although in summer it is a little more rainy, in winter also rains in moderate amount. In late spring, it also usually rains in high quantity. June is the rainiest month of the city, with approximately 69 mm, while the driest month is February, with only 33 mm. Much of the rain in Berlin is strong and thunderous.

The Berlin built area created a microclimate with the heat stored by the buildings. With that the temperatures can be 4 ° C larger in the city than in the areas that surround it. Although temperatures are warm in the summer, some air masses bring temperatures above 30 ° C, but this does not happen every year and may be the opposite, being masses of cold air that make summer seem like a winter.
