Kammala
Kammala is a small town to the north of Patong, a town on the beach which is much more relaxed than Patong. The beach is popular with retirees, and there are plenty of nice apartments and villas to choose from. Even in high season, the beach can be quiet.
Tourism
The only two tourist attractions Kamala has to offer (besides the beach) are the Fantasea show and the Buddhist temple at the south end of the beach.
In the middle of the beach, there is a small park with a tsunami monument.
Kamala Beach lies just north of the lights and noise of Patong and is a quieter stretch of sand with a more relaxed feel. This well-enclosed bay and fishing village surrounded by forested hills is one of the most beautiful places in Phuket.

Gastronomy
Be aware that Kamala is not as vibrant and commercial compared to Patong and Kata. Some restaurants begin closing at 9pm, which is unheard of in the south.
There are a few restaurants directly on the beach. They have fresh fish and seafood on ice where you can choose exactly what you eat.
In the village you will also find an abundance of restaurants, also with the seafood in the front on the ice. Those who offer fewer western dishes usually have the best Thai dishes.

Kammala has a tropical climate. In Kammala most of the months of the year there is significant rainfall. There is only a short dry season and it is not very effective. According to Köppen and Geiger the climate is classified as Am. Kammala has an average temperature of 27.4 ° C. The average annual rainfall is 2515 mm.
